Today, we want to take a look at the DEENKEE i7 Robot Vacuum. Now, we’ve reviewed several robotic vacuums and we have to tell you they are fantastic little devices. If you haven’t considered ever picking up a robot vacuum because you think it’s gimmicky and it’s really not going to do a nice job, you will be pleasantly surprised by buying one of these nifty machines.
Robot vacuums have matured so much from a technology perspective. They actually do a really fine job of keeping your floor clean throughout major cleanings and it’s definitely something that we highly recommend if you have hardwood floors. Even if you have carpeting or pets, a robot vacuum is definitely something to take a look at.
So let’s do the review of the Deenkee. We’ll check and see what’s in the box as well as why you should consider this robotic cleaner. You’ve got a lot of accessories that come in with his vacuum cleaner. This robot vacuum also has a water reservoir and it’s going to very lightly wet and dry while it’s cleaning. So this is a pretty nice add on feature.

You also have this remote control for controlling it. This is the docking station and charging station. You also then have these little whiskers that you’re going to see where these are placed. So you have a couple extra one of these so you have two of these right here that are included. You have this little filter, dust filter, and these you need to change. We’ve had these kind of vacuums before and they do get dirty.
You have this little cleaning tool. This is really important because as you start picking up stuff and string and things that are loose around, cat hair, dog hair, any kind of hair, you want to use one of these to clean it. A little screwdriver, you also then have your power base, and then you have, again, this little wall here.
So let’s go ahead and power this thing up. Let’s take a look at all the aspects of it. We’ll flip it over, check it out, and see how it works. So the first thing we’re going to do is remove the plastic. So that’s gone. We’ll flip it over so you can see right here you have a little thing here telling us it’s clean. You have the brand here. We’ll flip this over here and you can see everything that’s going on.
So these are the whiskers that are coming out and they come out pretty long. Look how far that is. So that’s going to bring all the debris in here. You have this little wheel. You have these nice traction. You notice how rubberized and how big these things are going. These are going to come out. This is what’s going to be scooping up all your material and then this is where everything gets stored. Looks like this is the battery. Yes, the battery, so that goes right there you won’t need to move that out of the way.
And then it has bumpers on each side so you’ll notice, as it bumps into things, it won’t damage any of your furniture and things like that. So again, I’ve been using these for quite a time but this is a newer version, and again, has a real nice feature that’s going to also wipe things down. Now, to remove the actual compartment that’s going to have all the debris. All you have to do is just push this button, comes out, you can see that right here also see where your filter is it right there as well.
So pretty simple and put that back in place. And then, again, all you have to do is turn this on. It’s going to go around. The neat thing about this is that it has the robotics and the technology in here is that it’s never going to go over the same place twice as it’s mapping your living room, dining room, wherever it is, your kitchen, it’s going to figure things out and then it should cover everything completely.
So let’s talk about some of the specs for a second. So that little brush is approximately 6.3 inches so it’s going to suck everything up through there with those little whiskers to make sure it cleans things up nicely for you. It does have 11 optical sensors, so as it’s going through, it’s going to make sure that it watches what it’s running into, has anti-collision technology, and drop sensing technology. So if you have a step down or a step up home, specifically a step down, and you don’t want this to you fall over, you don’t have to worry about it because the sensors will prevent that from happening.
Some of the older units that were out there, again, I’ve had these type of devices for quite some time, required you to put these little pods that kind of created these virtual walls. You don’t need that. So this is going to give you per charge a maximum of 100 minutes. 100 minutes of super quiet cleaning, and as soon as it needs to go back to the charging station, it would do it by itself. And remember, you do have the ability to control it with the remote control.
Now, it does have a mop cloth and that mop cloth is going to allow you to have a reservoir with some fluid in there. It has a little water tank. That’s going to allow you to clean an area as well. And again, this is going to work on a variety of surfaces. So this is going to work on hardwood floors, on laminates, you could have this on carpet, again, depending on the type of brush that you have. Remember, we have that feature where you have that little mop.
It does have a timer setting on the remote control. You could use auto cleaning. You could do also scheduling which is pretty cool. And pretty much this is a self-service kind of automated cleaning robot that’s going to take care of everything around your house. These have gotten so much better over the years.
So let’s go ahead and power this up and just see how it works. Now, before we see the robot actually doing its thing, we just wanted to show you a couple things because the remote control is where you’re going to be able to set up your schedules. So there’s a lot of stuff that it can do here. So we’ll get a little bit closer here so you can see this. So you do have an auto clean function that all you do is just push that button and it just works. So there’s really nothing else that you have to do.
You have this edge cleaning button and anything about this is that typically the corners of your houses are where a lot of dust accumulates. So if you just want it running towards on the edge, you can push that button and it’s going to take care of that, especially if you have wood floors, carpet, things tend to scoot over on the sides. Single room cleaning, you have that. You have a timer setting so this is where your schedule is. So you’re going to set the time and have it kick off. You have your scheduling here so here you can set your schedule mode and then you can press this button to actually have it sent home.
So the neat thing about this is that you would want to use this remote control and you notice that it has a time function on here. You’d want to set this up and then what you do is go through these modes, program it so that it just turns on, does what it needs to do in the house, and then comes back to the charging station and then recharges. And it will just continue to do this so you never have to touch your floor.
I’m telling you, we have used these type of robots in my home, we actually have a couple of them in different floors, and it works extremely well, especially these newer versions that have the advanced technology. So we’re going to go ahead and show you how it works. You’ll see how just go around and clean a little bit and we’ll see how loud it is. So here we have the robot. It’s on a hardwood floor and it is in charging mode. But I’m going to go ahead and start it up using the remote control.
So the remote control was kicked off and it started to clean. You’ll notice it’ll just go out and then it starts doing its thing. We’re just going to let it go and clean around the floor. I’ll follow it a little bit just so you can see the anti-collision technology. My whole first floor is full of just pretty much hardwood floor so you’ll notice how quickly it just went there and it moves pretty fast. And you see those little whiskers that are there, they’re going to bring up any kind of dust, any kind of stuff that’s on the floor and bring it so they can get scooped up by that brush area and that’s really what they’re doing.
So you’ll notice it’s searching around, and for the very first time that you have these things running in your home, it’s going to figure out your entire floor. And I’ll tell you, I’ve had one on a carpeted area, and you wonder, does it make it through the entire house? And we will tell you that as we look at the streaks, it’s pretty amazing how it does get to cover the entire floor. And you’ll notice how it is covering all areas. Notice how it’s going by my fireplace. It’s going to work down and then it’s going to continue to cover.
So this is what it looks like. Let me get a little bit closer so you can hear what the sound is like coming from it. And it’s relatively quiet so you’re definitely not going to hear this, especially if you’re in a different room. We’d say we have this running while watching TV as well because it’ll go under your feet. It’ll avoid you, but again, pretty straight forward, cool tech.
So now, the next thing we’ve done is I’ve pressed the home button just to see if it will make its way back to the charging station. So it’s pulling away. It’s turning around. And it should make its way back to the charging station. What we find so amazing about these things is this has been running and it knows exactly where the charging station was. Notice how it’s just moving around. And the neat thing about this is that when your DEENKEE i7 Robot Vacuum is starting to run out of power, it knows how far away it is from its charging station and it will make its way back to it before it runs out of power.
