Today, we are going to be taking an in-depth look at four excellent canister vacuums. These canister vacuums are the Miele Pure Suction, the Miele Classic C1, the Miele Turbo Team, and the Miele Complete C2. Each one of these canister vacuums has its own unique features and attributes, and they are all, in their own way, very special.

By the end of this guide, you’re going to know which one of these canister vacuums is the best one for you.
As a quick refresher, a canister vacuum is a vacuum that is in the shape of a canister. This canister contains the motor and the dust tank, and all of the other components that comprise a vacuum. Due to the shape, canister vacuums are quite mobile and versatile, especially in comparison to upright vacuums, which are the more popular vacuums. However, unlike other vacuums that serve as an alternative to upright vacuums, canister vacuums are just as powerful as upright vacuums.

Miele Pure Suction Canister Vacuum
Jump To
We’re going to start off with the Miele Pure Suction Canister Vacuum. This is one of Miele’s most “basic” canister vacuums, and it doesn’t really contain and unusual or especially unique features or attributes. But, that doesn’t mean that this is a bad vacuum or one that isn’t worth buying/looking into.
When you purchase the Miele Pure Suction Canister Vacuum, you’ll first notice the design. It’s a simple design, that is very clear and easy to follow. Everything is labeled and delineated, and clarity is clearly one of Miele’s biggest design intentions.

With a weight of around 14 pounds, moving this canister vacuum around really isn’t that challenging. Instead, it’s quite easy, due to its lack of heft and, small form-factor. You can use it to clean all kinds of different spaces, big or small.
This versatility and flexibility is what makes the Miele Pure Suction Canister Vacuum such a great vacuum. Or, rather, that’s one of the main elements that make it so good.
When using the vacuum, you have access to a small dial that is on the front of the vacuum. This dial has six settings, and these settings correspond to the amount of suction the vacuum uses, at any given time. If you are on a thick carpet, you can turn it to a higher setting, for easier suction, and the same goes for a floor that requires less suction. With these settings, you have the ability to clean many different floor types.
With the floorhead and the powerful motor that creates the suction, you won’t have any issues vacuuming on hard floors, or soft floors. It glides across both types of surfaces with immense ease, making the overall vacuuming experience very easy. As you vacuum, everything flows into a 3.5-liter debris tank.
Overall, the Miele Pure Suction is a very nice canister vacuum that, while basic, works very well, and can clean just about any surface.
Miele Classic C1 Canister Vacuum
With the Miele Classic C1 Canister Vacuum, you get a very similar experience to that of the Miele Pure Suction Canister Vacuum. There aren’t too many notable differences, but that doesn’t mean the Miele Classic C1 doesn’t have its own distinct advantages.

Just like the Miele Pure Suction, you have the “Vortex Motor” which provides 1,200 watts of power. This runs through the vacuum and powers the suction, giving you enough power to clean both hard floors, and soft floors, with immense ease.
Unlike the Miele Pure Suction, you have access to two unique floorheads. These floorheads are great because they give you a lot of flexibility when it comes to what you clean, and how you clean.
The first floorhead is the “Pure Suction Combination Floorhead”, which is designed for hard floors, as well as soft floors. You can switch between the two types of flooring by pressing a switch on the floorhead, and this is a “foot switch” so you can press it with your foot while cleaning.
The second floorhead is the “Pure Suction Parquet Floorhead”, this floorhead is designed for hard floors, and it has strong bristles that allow the floorhead to glide across your floor, and with a large suction inlet, it effortlessly vacuums up dirt, dust, and debris.

If you want a canister vacuum with a bit more versatility, you can’t go wrong with the Miele Classic C1. It has the same amount of power as the Miele Pure Suction, but it offers more versatility, due to the two floorheads.
Miele Turbo Team Canister Vacuum
With the Miele Turbo Team Canister Vacuum, you’re getting something that has a really similar design to both the Miele Pure Suction and the Miele Classic C1, but Miele has spent more time and energy in developing the suction capabilities of this canister vacuum so that it can work better with carpeting and rugs.
Just like the previous two canister vacuums, you have the “Vortex Motor”, which offers 1,200 watts of power. This is a lot of power for a canister vacuum, and the Miele Turbo Team Canister Vacuum utilizes this power very well.
On the front of the vacuum, there is a small dial, and this dial enables you to change the speed of the suction. There are six settings, and you can change the settings at any time so that you always have access to the amount of suction power that you need.
Instead of having the standard floorhead, though, Miele has designed a new floorhead for the Miele Turbo Team. This particular floorhead is known as the “Turbobrush Floorhead”, and it’s been designed for carpeting of all sorts. Although, for thicker carpeting, it may not be as ideal, but it should work well, nevertheless.
With the Turbobrush Floorhead, there is a roller brush on the bottom of the floorhead, and this roller brush rotates itself back and forth, and by doing this, it loosens up dirt, dust, hair, and small chunks of debris from your carpet. Using an air adjustment slide prevents your actual carpet from being sucked into the vacuum.
Using the Turbobrush Floorhead, you can also clean hard floors, as well, and the performance will be very similar.
Other than that the features and attributes of the Miele Turbo Team are very similar to that of the previous two canister vacuums. Although, the Miele Turbo Team does include an upholstery tool, for cleaning furniture, a dusting brush, and a crevice tool, which gives you some extra flexibility.
If you want a canister vacuum that has been designed for cleaning carpets and rugs, then the Miele Turbo Team is a really great choice!
Miele Complete C2 Canister Vacuum
Last, but certainly not least, is the Miele Complete C2 Canister Vacuum. Now, in many ways, the Miele Complete C2 Canister Vacuum is very similar to the previous three vacuums. It has a similar design and design aesthetic, and there are a couple of features that are very similar, as well. Namely, the motor is the exact same, and it provides the same amount of power. You have the same “Suction Dial”, which is a good feature to have, in general, and the floorheads are similar to the floor heads found in the previous Miele canister vacuums.

However, the big thing about the Miele Complete C2 Canister Vacuum is the fact that it takes these features, and it improves on the overall design, making the experience more efficient and more enjoyable.
Using the Miele Complete C2, you can easily clean both rugs/carpets, and hard floors. This is a versatile floorhead and it makes the overall vacuuming process very easy. It has little rubber wheels that enable you to move it on any surface in your home, and the suction inlet is large, too, so it covers more space, in a shorter period of time.
Then, you have the Miele SBB400-3 Parquet Twister XL Floor Brush, which is designed to clean any floor type, as well, and is very good at conducting the suction the vacuum is producing and using it to clean your floors. It’s also a versatile floorhead, and you can swivel it and twist it around, it goes flat underneath boards and furniture and, overall, it provides you with a level of versatility that is virtually unheard of with most inexpensive canister vacuums.

If you want a canister vacuum with an excellent design, a tremendous amount of suction power, and a great deal of flexibility and versatility, and you aren’t afraid of spending some extra cash, then the Miele Complete C2 Canister Vacuum is a fantastic choice!
