Samsung Powerbot 9000 Series Compared – R9000 vs R9020 vs SR20H9051 Series vs R9250 vs R9350

In this article, we will simply break down the differences between the Samsung Powerbot 9000 series robot vacuums. We also have the same article but for the 7000 series. First, you should know that all the Samsung Powerbots use the same visionary mapping plus navigation system and have the same full view sensors, meaning that their smart navigation, which systematically cleans your home, and their unique obstacle avoidance system should theoretically operate the same with all these models. They all have the same basic sensors, like cliff detection, and these all have the same combo brush roll as well.

They differ on things like suction power, battery life, bin size, and Wi-Fi capability. For example, the R9000 and the R9020 have the least amount of suction of any powerbot, including the 7000 series, at 5.9 watts. The R9051 has just a bit more at 9.4, but it jumps way up to 30 watts for the R9250 and 40 for the Samsung PowerBot R9350.

As far as battery life, the R9000 and R9020 are at a respectable 60 minutes runtime. The Samsung PowerBot R9250 and R9350 are at 90 minutes. I’m not really sure about the 9051 since there’s no published number. The 9051 is kind of an oddball. It’s the only one with a smaller 8.7 inch brush instead of the 12.2 inch brush that the others have. It’s also the only one with side brushes. The rest clean edges using either the edge clean master or simply by its D shaped design.

The R9000 and the R9020 are the only ones on this list that do not have Wi-Fi capability and therefore it cannot be voice-activated with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant nor can they be controlled with the selecting go app. One thing that clearly separates the 9000 series from the 7000 series is that all of the 9000 series have larger dustbins at 0.7 liters, whereas the 7000 series all have pretty small dustbins at 0.3 liters.

The last three on this list are the only ones that include the point cleaning feature where you can point a laser on the remote control and it will follow where you point.

Samsung Powerbot 7000 Series Compared – R7010 vs R7040 vs R7065 vs R7070 vs R7090

In thissection, we’re going to try to quickly and simply break down the differences between the Samsung Powerbot 7000 series robot vacuums. We also have basically the same article but for the 9000 series powerboats. First, you should know that all the Samsung Powerbots use the same visionary mapping plus navigation system and the same full view sensors, meaning that their smart navigation, which systematically cleans your home, and their unique obstacle avoidance system should theoretically operate the same no matter which one of these you buy.

They all have the same basic sensors, like cliff detection and obstacle avoidance. They differ on things like suction power, battery life, bin size, and Wi-Fi capability. For example, all but the R7040 have 20 watts of suction power, which is pretty high. You would have to go to the top two 9000 series vacuums if you wanted more.

As far as battery life, only the bottom two, the R7010 and the R7040, have 60 minutes, where the rest have 90 minutes of battery life. One drawback is that all the 7000 series powerbots have a fairly small 0.3 liter dustbin, whereas all the 9000 series powerbots have 0.7 liters.

The R7010 is the only one in this list that does not have Wi-Fi capability and therefore it cannot be voice-activated with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant nor can it be controlled with the selecting go app. Another important distinction between the 7000 and 9000 series is that all the 7000 series vacuums are 3.8 inches tall and can fit under a lot more than the much taller 9000 series bots, which average about 5.3 inches.
